Great Grooming Starts With Love

Meet Your Groomer

I started working in a grooming salon in 2021, during my time at the University of Delaware. I had just finished my first year studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biomechanical Engineering, with no idea my career plans were about to change.

Working in a dog salon was initially going to be a temporary college job. I was a bather, not a groomer, just looking to get my foot in the door of the pet care world. But once I started working as a veterinary technician, I also decided to attend grooming academy and balance all three.

I eventually moved into emergency veterinary medicine, which gave me more confidence working with medically complex pets on the grooming table. But in my last semester, it was not possible to continue doing both due to my classes options. Grooming won that battle.

Since graduating in May 2024, I’ve worked in different grooming salons, taking on as many dogs as I could handle and becoming the groomer who rarely turned one away. I gained a lot of amazing experience, but I also realized that the pace wasn’t how I wanted to continue.

- Now I'm Building Something Different -

Dino’s Doggy Dos is my opportunity to focus on individualized care, a more thoughtful pace, and building a more positive experience for you and your pets.

Why Grooming?

Building trust and bonds with pets

Getting to know your pets is by far the best part. I’ll often remember a pet’s name forever after grooming them once. I love slowly winning over your pet, whether they’re sociable, sassy, standoffish, etc. I will make them my friend. I am very proud to be someone people turn to when they run out of traditional grooming options.

Combining creativity with animal care

As someone who loves all things strategy, puzzle, and stem, grooming was not a conventional choice. However, I found it was the perfect way to combine executing technique with creating work I can be proud of. I love putting together a haircut to melt your heart and then picking out the perfect accessories to seal the deal.

Always something to learn

There is no shortage of continuing education, seminars, or conventions to attend as a groomer. There is always a way to improve your process and craft. Whether its learning a new technique, or just something new to you, there will never be a time where I can say that I know it all.

Forming connections in my community

Pets bring people together. So many Americans own pets, meaning through grooming I meet so many wonderful people and families that I would have never otherwise crossed paths with.

Why House Call?

Home is your pet's happy place

Pets are most comfortable in a familiar environment. Staying home can drastically reduce the stressors associated with grooming as they are surrounded with normal sounds, sights, and smells. I started Dino’s Doggy Dos with senior pets, medically complex pets, and pets who need behavioral accommodations and patience in mind. By bringing grooming to you, I can create a better experience that considers each pet’s individual needs and comfort.

Focused, one on one pampering

My house-call model means a dedicated appointment focused on your pet and your pet only. Without the demands of a busy salon, I have more flexibility to adapt to your pet’s unique needs. I can work at a pace that suits your pet, giving them the time and attention they deserve rather than rushing to keep up with the next appointment.

Full transparency and understanding

Many pet parents don’t get the opportunity to see what goes into their dog’s grooming experience. I’m happy to help you better understand the process, explain what I’m doing and why, and share insights into your pet’s individual needs. While having you present during the appointment isn’t always the best fit for every dog, I’m always happy to discuss what involvement might work best for your pet.

I cannot be trusted with a mobile van

I can admit that, for someone who lives in Philly, my parallel parking skills are not up to par. I’ve built a little buffer time into appointments to allow myself a proper parking search in my SUV. If I ever decided to drive a full-sized grooming van around the city, I’d probably have to issue a public advisory.

So, house calls it is. Your dog gets pampered, I avoid a vehicular crisis, and everybody wins.

Meet Dino

I adopted Dino, the leader and inspiration of the brand, in September of 2024. At a current estimated 14 years young, Dino is Philly’s sweetest cuddle-bug. When he’s not snoring, begging for early dinner, or rooting for the Eagles (Go Birds), he’ll be home working on the business’s books.

If you catch us walking around the city, feel free to say hi! He may ignore you in favor of a fun sidewalk smell, or yell at your big dog, but I promise he’s a sweetie.

He unfortunately no longer has those adorable canines hanging out of his mouth, but I think you’ll still recognize him as he’s quite the unique cutie.

Sounds like the right fit?
